The concerns about  of human resource management traced back to early civilization era, However it formally begin to develop from the 18th century caused by Technological and social transformation and historical incidents that take placed since end of 18th century. Concern about human rights have contribute to this subject.

From Early civilization era, the  period where  pyramid are made  and middle ages there ware harassed condition in work site, people were treated as salves and they ware considered  expendable. People have to work long hours may be more than 15 hours per day, there ware no formal way to obtain leave, there ware no labor regulations, there are no safety in work place and there were no formal salary procedures and performance appraisal system. Because of this  condition lead to germinate concern about better work place benefits for workers by the end of 18th century.

With Political and social evaluation that triggers end of 18th century corelated with Peoples rights in work place, people demand 8 hour working day, and 2 days of leave for week, safety environment in work place, compensation, pension etc.  Finally,  people was able win their demand. Government establish institution to ensure better work place for workers and promogulated law and regulation for the sake of workers.  Hence, the industrial organization needs a structure or departments to administer those set of activities and provide and monitor welfare activities for work force. This is the nascent of Human Resource Management  realm

Thereafter during the period of   1900 to 1950 , concerns about HR further developed, because during this period the new production technologies influx to  industry, hence organization need a mechanism to develop workers technical abilities and skills in order to operate new machine. So, organization set up separate branch to train workers and monitor their performance. There after from 1950, the Human Resource Management Sector have developed systematically  parallel to development of industrial, business sector  and comes in to state what we now see.

 Significance of Human Resource Management

Human resource management is highly crucial for  organization or company to preserve it’s goal while providing benefits to employees in the same time,  it is a theory that labor( Human resources)   is one of Four  main factors of production out of land, labor, capital and entrepreneurship. every other non human resources such as land, machinery, finance are manipulated by employees, hence humans  are rather antecedent to other resources. Therefore, if human resources are managed cohesively, in turn other resources optimum utilization can be guaranteed.  So, human resource management is a key factor of organization’s success.

Why there is a separate branch for human resource management in modern organization’s

Every level of production form designing to marketing, humans involves possessing  different level of skills, knowledge, academic level and professionality.   hence, it is vitally important to having a mechanism and structure in order to cohesively manipulate those work force and thereby meeting it’s goal while providing a opportunity for employee to grow their abilities and knowledge.

However, When implementing and deploying human resources , there are concerns that have to be taken in to consideration, because,   human are a kind of complex resource rather than other resources such as capital or land. The humans have physical,  mental and 9psychological aspects They have a family and social  life beyond his obligation with organization. then there are legal  provision for employee formulated by government in order to protects  employee rights, because of those all factors humans can’t be managed as same as managing other resources such as a computer or a machine. Hence it  emphasize the necessity  of separate branch to cover the scope of human resource management.

On the other hand, In modern organization, there is a needs for vast array of skills from employee & there is different disciplines that involve for production of  particular service or goods, because of that there must be heavy work load of administrative works related to those work force, hence,  there should be a separate responsible branch to administer that work force.
