Role of Human resource manager

Human resource manager have to plays a wider and vital role to effectively and efficiently manage employees with in organization and thereby preserving the organization, and HR manager can heavily contribute to company’s success. Then,  he or she have a broad scope to oversee,  ranging from recruiting to termination of employees, and it’s role can be marginally changed depending on the company scale, type and other environmental conditions. Normally, there are myriad of activities that HR manager have to do, and it  can be subsumed under four components. This essay will generally overview the human resource manager’s role under afore mention four category.

Induction

Induction is simply, recruiting or hiring a appropriate and prospective candidate in to organization and thence deploys to relevant job position. Basically, it is similar to procuring a machine or row material to organization, howbeit it is rather complex to selecting right candidate comparing to selecting a computer or any other machine. Because, human are complex and unique, each one has a different combination of skills,  talent and knowledge to another. On the other hand, they have different prospect over his or  her professional carrier. Some are self-motivated, ambitious and  self-disciplined. Meanwhile, some are creative, independent. Hence, human are complex mixture of different skills, talent and temperaments. The selecting the right candidate is a subtle task, and it demand higher level of cognizant and perception from HR mangers over the candidates composition as there are no scientific way to assessed the job seekers   integrity, because academic qualification  does not necessarily reflects applicants competence.



The induction process begin from identifying the vacancy for the particular job role. Normally, it is formally informed by relevant section mangers or responsible person. Then human resource manager set out a process in order to recruit the candidate. Firstly, the HR-manager or section have to delineate the required Qualifications that candidate must possess. This activity have to be done in conjunction with the relevant section. There after, the vacancy notice is published in formal media platform, traditionally  on printed news paper, but today it is often  done on social media platform

Then, HR manager or department have to arrange interviews meeting to assess candidates integrity verbally. Then, selected candidate is deployed to relevant position. Some of largescale organization such as banks held exam precedent to interview  

Training and development

Following the induction process, the  recruiter have to be continuously monitored whether he is being familiarized to company environment, organisation culture, and have to assess his professional development and performance. The human resource manager have to obtain feed back from work site or place regarding the new employees performance. Thence based on  the  feedback. The recruiter is given the opportunity to develop his professionalism. In some organisation, they have their training programs and training centres, and they admit candidate Professional Development workshops, conference, seminars and held curriculum activities.  However, usually it have to be outsourced from institutions or may be university or technical colleges etc. The most of modern companies provide sponsorship for talented workers to enhance their academic background or other professional education for the sake of company future prospects.



Sometimes, Some of organization for example banks have their own competitive writing exam which provide a career ladder for workers to climb through career path. The what ever ways the human resource manager use to develop workers professionalism, the human resource manager have a responsibility to provide a equal opportunity for every workers for their development and obtain rewards or benefits, regardless of workers gender, race or social status. It may be a prime factor for employees motivation.

Maintaining

Maintaining a human resource is some what similar to maintaining a other resources such as a vehicle or a computer, Howbeit it is fairly complicated and also it is bounded by legal complications. Primarily human resource manager have to ensure a safe and faire work environment, and have to monitor whether the all job activities are going on by adhering the organization regulations and procedures, all workers comply with the organization culture. And the benefits and rewards are fairly distributed. And the promotion, demotion and transferring are executed fairly and according to company procedures and regulations. In this stage is heavily involved by administrative work.





One of the most important activity, the human resource manager have to involve is dealing with legal issues related to work place harassment or discrimination. Some frustrated workers may tend to take litigation action against the company. then, human resources manager have to take part for address the issue. Also the human resource manager may have to intervene in to conflicts or dispute with in work place as a mediator.

Then, Human resources have to take part in formally terminating a employees employability due to various reasons some times may be workers incapacitation, discipline issues, breaching trust or negligence. In this point, human resources manager have to adhere the company and as well as National law so that it cannot lead to legal issues.

Besides that, if the company have decided to reduce its work force owing to company decision for austerity measures. The human resource manager have to involve that activity in conjunction with other branches, he and other branch managers together have to decide who have to leave and stay and have to make a action plan for gradually reduce work force, and how to compensate for the workers who is destined to leave etc.

Policy planning

The company or organization have a set of rules, regulations and procedures, and it maintain a organization culture with in workplace depending on the scale and scope of the company, and domicile of the company also contribute to shape the policy and regulation of organization. it have a long term positive impact on the organization progress, stability and the reputation. 

Then those policies and regulations have to be reformed concerning  to external and internal business environmental changes, business growth, and on the process of reorganization and innovation with in organization. In this situation, the HR manger’s  active participation is vital. He should propound concern of policy and regulation   regarding employees. such as criteria and model to device each workers remuneration, formulating the procedure for promotion and demotion, and how to increase the welfare facility for workers, safety and health regulation in work sites etc. the human resource manager should communicate his recommendation and suggestions to top management of company and he should consider other branch managers learning out come and feed back from work place when preparing policy and regulation.

Conclusion

Human resource manager have strategic and wider role with in organization, and it,s role can be partially changed according to the scale and type of the organization, and he should synchronize individuals and organizational goals. Generally, its role can be delineated in to four function. Then, it is vitally important for human resource manager to maintain a effective communication and collaboration with other management branches of organization in order to develop a human assets for organization. Further, Human resource manager should actively participate for policy formulating  and decision making in order to preserve company in long run
